Robert Gold is the owner and creative mind behind Options Caterers. He developed the concept of “The Caterer Without the Food” after 24 years of experience in the hospitality business.
Robert began his career in the industry in 1987 as a banquet bartender. In 2004 he founded his own banquet staffing company, Professional Bartenders & Servers, Inc. (PBS). Robert has been in sales since 1977, both business-to-businesses and business-to-consumer.
He has a very strong understanding of customer service and the hospitality business. He is the active owner and CEO of both PBS and Options Caterers.
Andrew leads the Options Caterers team and is in charge of planning and overseeing the food, beverage and staffing aspects of all Options Caterers events. He oversees the logistics of our truck deliveries and is responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies and product.
Andrew has been in catering and fine dining since 1983 and he has been a professional bartender for 24 years. Andrew is our professional in-house trainer for all PBS servers.
He, or one of our other highly qualified team members will be present at your occasion to ensure that the event is staged to perfection.
Laura is part of the inside support team for Options Caterers. She coordinates the day to day affairs of the kitchen and kitchen staff, making sure that the food is at the right place at the right time.
Laura is one of our in-house Event Information Specialists. She also serves as the liaison between the client and the food vendors to ensure that all food details are communicated to both the vendors and to PBS staff. She began her career in the hospitality industry in 2004 and has been with PBS since 2007. Laura has both front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house experience. Laura has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.
Dave specializes in developing and maintaining relationships between Options Caterers and restaurants, event planners, venues and other caterers.
He has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years and has worked in every position in the restaurant business, including several years of management in high-volume establishments. Dave has many years of bartending experience and has been with Professional Bartenders & Servers, Inc. since 2006. He is currently the in-house trainer for all PBS bartenders.
Laura Jasen is the organizational mind that keeps the internal workings of PBS and Options Caterers running like a well-oiled machine.
Laura is in charge of coordinating office operations and procedures, producing proposals, managing clients and customer service, handling finances, and scheduling employees for events. A long-time resident of Washington D.C., Laura has been in sales and marketing for 25 years and has been with PBS since 2005. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Debbie is the Catering Sales Manager for Options Caterers. She coordinates all aspects of events from food, decor and rentals to venue setup and vendor communications.
Debbie began her career in the hospitality industry in 1985 with The Marriott Corporation. She started her own catering company, Festive Occasions, Unlimited, in 1992. Debbie is a Certified Food Handling Manager in both Maryland and Virginia. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Marketing from George Mason University.
